PURPOSE : A platform to bring unity to the arts and the community. 

 

CONCEPT :  After a short time living in Chicago, I was inspired to bring back what I had experienced to the Hays community. I co-founded Paseo in the fall of 2019 and began hosting art shows and open mics. We had discussed many ways to bring the community together, but we found that a combination of an art show & open mic would bring most of the arts together in one space for the community to experience. Each event displayed thirty plus artist’s work and had a turn out of two hundred plus people. We also partnered with different campus organizations and professors to host themed panel exhibitions and Conversations Create Change, a radio show discussing important topics. Paseo is now run solely by me and I hope to continue creating this community.
